A bright sunny day...

in Manchester. For some reason this shot makes me think of the 1950's and hardboiled tales of menace and intrigue in the concrete jungle. Posted by Picasa

I am such an optimist! At first glance my brain saw those bucket things and said... "oooo.. ferris wheel!" that despite the fact that its not a wheel and definately ponderous instead of light and airy.

I have an adjustment problem going here. I only want to play.

Being optimistic is not such a bad thing, however the photo only began to work for me once I'd changed it into black and white. Then it became more interesting but somehow more threatening, with the burning sun and jagged angles. I sort of perceived it as dry like a desert, sparse.

Maybe I should just have a beer and relax.

Machines taking over!!!
Great photo.

dcver, machines taking over might be good. they could be programmed to do things, oh.... like, hummm.... clean my house? there's a nice robotly kinda' job that needs doing. I so love living in a clean space, and so hate taking the time to make it happen. *sigh* More machines. What the world needs.

D,

Thank's for the compliment. I like it too. I really like this fantastic camera as well.

I agree entirely, more machines! To do stuff. I rather like the idea of nano technology as well, for that internal spring cleaning that needs doing, I wonder if there will one day be a nano cure for hangovers, one of which I am nursing here on this Saturday morning whilst listening to Joe Cocker's Delta Lady playing on the radio. So something good is going on, at least.
