what a stunning city. Words can't do the place justice so I've posted some photos on Flickr, to't right.

K,

Hey don't mock malls with their mock trees and mock stylalisation and mock bonhomie and mock mock. We have one in Manchester called The Trafford Centre. It looks like a huge palace, it looks like a place of history, it looks like lots of things it isn't. Rome is better and of course much closer to me than you. However should you ever visit Manchester, Rome is only a short hop away, 2 hours in fact which I believe in Canadian terms is not very far. Indeed given the size of Canada it's probably easier to travel from Manchester to Rome than it is from your home to the mall.

Heh, you want to know far from everywhere? Come to Guyana. We're at the end of the earth...that place where it's flat and you can fall off the edge.

Please tell us what you saw and did in Rome.

Clive James fell in love with Rome too. He wrote lots about it.
