Eerie or what! I was sitting at my kitchen table and lo, there was snow, on the go.
So, not one to miss an opportunity I put down my gin and tonic (honest) grabbed my marvelous little camera (that takes such wonderful photos in low light) and rushed into the street before the stuff began to thaw.
The fruits on my effort are now published for all to see.
Returns home, drinks more g&t and feels like a job has been well done. Oh yes.
I beat you to it. Had another, and another before falling into bed. Had cup of tea to keep fluid levels up and hangover at bay. Woke this morning with spring in step and song in heart. I find gin does that to me. Ha ha.
It was a shame the snow only lasted half an hour or so, glad I was able to rush out and get the photeys.
G,
I was toasty warm in my house drinking a cold Gin and Tonic, actually sitting in my kitchen when I noticed the snow. I sprang into action and rushed outside. Not sure if it ever gets this cold in Georgetown but I think hot soup and chunks of bread are probably good anywhere, or on any ocassion. Do you have hot water bottles in Guyana? I have this idea it's in the tropics but maybe I'm wrong.

Wooo, makes me think of hot soup and thick chunks of bread, old music on the radio, quilts, hot water bottles.

It's rarely cold here but yes, we have the odd hot water bottle in the odd medicine chest. People use them when they have aches and pain and strain.
I was thinking if I had to live in a wintery place what sort of things I'd have to warm me.
