Hayden,

Is it just me or are SUV's completely over the top? In the UK these enormous monsters muscle their way around our roads scaring everyone. I wouldn't mind so much if they were owned by farmers or people who didn't live near roads but they're not. They're owned by rich people who don't even like to get them mucky!

Start a church, collect funds, get rich, run away to somewhere exotic. Ain't that how it goes with some? And don't tell me I'm being cynical.

G,

Corruption seems endemic in US churches (when in Rome etc) think of Jimmy Swaggart and other rich white preachers whose hypocrisy has been exposed over the last few years. Grrrrrrrrrrr.

Not really related at all, except through the clergy, but the other day I heard on Spanish tv a report about the 20 new cardinals that the pope had appointed and that 12 OF THEM WHERE UNDER 80 YEARS OLD - me thinks the church has a PR problem.....

Emma,

12 Cardinals under 80? Benedict the Umpteenth is getting soft. Jeeze he'll be allowing women into the priest hood next. The man has no sense of tradition.
